DECICE project has been selected to be funded under the HORIZON-CL4-2022-DATA-01-02 call.

Ufuk Avrupa Programı, Küme 4: Dijital, 2022 yılı çağrıları başvuru sonuçları açıklandı. Rekabetin yüksek olduğu ve 63 başvurunun yapıldığı "HORIZON-CL4-2022-DATA-01-02: Cognitive Cloud: AI-enabled computing continuum from Cloud to Edge (RIA)" çağrı başlığında Marmara Üniversitesi’nin proje ortağı olarak yer aldığı “DECICE: Device-Edge-Cloud Intelligent Collaboration framework” başlıklı projemiz desteklemeye uygun görüldü. 6 ülkeden 13 kuruluşun yer aldığı 5,93 M Avro bütçeli projenin Marmara Üniversitesi proje yürütücülüğünü VeNIT Lab Direktörü Doç. Dr. Mujdat Soyturk gerçekleştirecektir.

Bulut Bilişim ve Uç Bilişimin giderek yaygınlaşmasıyla birlikte ultra düşük gecikme süresi, güvenlik ve konum farkındalığı (özellikle, Akıllı Şehir, otonom araçlar ve endüstriyel otomasyon gibi uygulamalar için) giderek daha büyük önem kazanmaktadır. DECICE'ta, Uç Bilişim (Edge Computing) ve Bulut Bilişim (Cloud Computing) için otomatik ve uyarlanabilir optimizasyon sağlayan bir yapı (Bilişsel Bulut: Buluttan Uç'a AI-etkin bilgi işlem sürekliliği) ve ilgili bileşenleri geliştirilecektir. Marmara Üniversitesinin, Yapay Zeka, Dijital İkiz ve Haberleşme Optimizasyonu ile katkı vereceği projede, Uç ve Bulut Bilişim mimarisinde sistemin bütününü izlemeye imkan veren Dijital İkiz ile Yapay Zeka tabanlı kaynak yönetimi ve planlayıcısı geliştirilecektir. Marmara Üniversitesi ve BigTRI’nin birlikte gerçekleştireceği “Bağlantılı Otonom Araç” ve “Akıllı Kavşak/VRU Emniyeti” saha uygulamaları ile proje çıktılarının testleri ve değerlendirilmesi yapılacaktır.

Horizon Europe Program, Cluster 4: Digital, 2022 calls application results have been announced. In the call title "HORIZON-CL4-2022-DATA-01-02: Cognitive Cloud: AI-enabled computing continuum from Cloud to Edge (RIA)", where the competition is high and 63 applications were made, “DECICE: Device-Edge-Cloud Intelligent Collaboration framework” has been selected to be funded. VeNIT Lab Director Assoc. Dr. Mujdat Soyturk will be the Marmara University project coordinator of the project with a budget of 5.93 M Euros, involving 13 organizations from 6 countries.

With the increasing prevalence of Cloud Computing and Edge Computing, ultra-low latency, security and location awareness (especially for applications such as Smart City, autonomous vehicles and industrial automation) are becoming more and more important. At DECICE, a framework (Cognitive Cloud: AI-enabled computing continuum from Cloud to Edge) and related components will be developed that provides automatic and adaptive optimization for Edge Computing and Cloud Computing. In the project, which Marmara University will contribute with Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twin and Communication Optimization, Digital Twin and Artificial Intelligence based resource management and planner will be developed, which allows to monitor the entire system in Edge and Cloud Computing architecture. The "Connected Autonomous Vehicle" and "Intelligent Intersection/VRU Safety" field applications, which will be carried out jointly by Marmara University and BigTRI, and the project outputs will be tested and evaluated.
